We didn't start a supplement company. We started looking for something that should have existed.
Good Dad was born at 3am, in the space between a sleeping child and a father searching for answers that didn't exist yet.
The cycle I was determined to break
It started with the mornings. Waking up feeling hungover without having drunk anything. Groggy, heavy, dragging myself through the first hours of the day. By the afternoon the energy had dropped again, and by the evening the second shift was starting: cooking dinner, prepping for the night, the baby routine, bath, bottle, bed. Then my partner and I would slump on the sofa, too tired to even talk, just to do the exact same thing again the next day.
That cycle. The tiredness, the fog, the guilt of not being fully present. I knew it wasn't something I could just push through. My son deserved a dad who was actually there, not one running on fumes. So I started looking for help.
I wasn't looking to start a brand. I was looking for something that would help me be less exhausted. The fact that it didn't exist is the reason Good Dad does.
I turned to supplements. Started with magnesium, then added a few more things, then a few more. Before I knew it I had thirteen bottles on the counter, each needing two or three capsules at specific times of the day. It became a routine on top of a routine. And with a newborn, routines don't survive. I was missing half of them just because of how chaotic the day was.
Then I looked at what was actually out there for men. Every brand was built for gym heads, or marketed around being an alpha male, a hunter-gatherer, some ripped masculine ideal. Nothing that was just focused on the thing I actually needed: being present. Present in my relationship. Present with my family. Able to focus in the short gaps I had to work. And waking up not feeling like I'd been hit by a bus.
That's why Good Dad exists. Not because the world needed another supplement brand. Because fathers needed one that was actually built for their life.
We asked 330+ fathers what nobody else was asking
Before we formulated a single capsule, we ran the largest independent survey of its kind into the health and wellbeing of UK fathers.

Different lives. Same standard.
Good Dad was built by two people who refuse to compromise on quality. One driven by fatherhood, the other by a lifetime of athletic discipline.
Youssef
The dad who couldn't find what he needed and refused to settle for what existed. Six months of clinical research before a single ingredient was finalised. Every dose interrogated. Every claim verified.
The kind of rigour that comes from building something you're going to take yourself every morning. And give to fathers who trust you with their health.
Ty Temel
Entrepreneur, athlete, and someone who has built his life around understanding what the body needs to perform. Founder of Halo, Vantage Sporting Group, and Sand Polo. Brand partner for On Running, Mercedes-Benz, and Osprey.
A competitive runner and biker on the south coast, Ty doesn't just understand nutrition in theory. He stress-tests it through training, racing, and the demands of building multiple businesses simultaneously.
We'd rather remove an ingredient than underdose it
Most supplement companies start with a marketing brief. We started with a question: what does a father's body actually need that his diet can't reliably provide?
The answer led to 21 ingredients across two targeted formulas. Four capsules a day. No complicated routines. No guesswork.
Therapeutic doses or nothing
L-Theanine at 400mg total. Rhodiola at 200mg standardised to 3% rosavins. Tart Cherry equivalent to 4,000mg. These aren't token amounts. They're the doses the research supports.
Honest about what's supportive
Not every ingredient is at a full clinical dose. Lion's Mane and Cordyceps are concentrated extracts providing adaptogenic support. We'll tell you which is which.
No proprietary blends
Every ingredient. Every dose. Published on the label and on our website. If a brand hides behind a "proprietary blend," there's usually a reason.
Built for interrupted routines
Two capsules with breakfast. Two before bed. Designed for the morning where you're making packed lunches with one hand and finding shoes with the other.
We left out ingredients we believe in
Our early formulas included magnesium and glycine. Both are excellent for recovery and sleep. But fitting them at effective doses would have meant six or seven capsules a day, and we weren't willing to build a stack that complicated. Our manufacturer recommended including magnesium at 50mg so we could make legal label claims. We said no. 50mg is less than a handful of almonds. We'd rather skip the marketing claim entirely and only include ingredients at doses that actually do something. We recommend magnesium alongside Good Dad. We just won't pretend a token amount inside our capsules is the same thing.

Where your supplements actually come from
Good Dad is manufactured in the UK by a facility that also produces for some of the most respected supplement brands in the country. We chose them for their track record and quality systems, not the cheapest quote.
Every batch is independently tested for heavy metals, microbial contamination, and active ingredient verification. Certificates of analysis are available. Not behind a paywall. Not "on request." Available.

The rules we won't break
Transparency Over Theatre
Every ingredient published. Every dose visible. We'd rather lose a sale to honesty than win one through ambiguity.
Fathers First, Customers Second
The product decisions, the content, the pricing. If it doesn't serve fathers, it doesn't ship.
Evidence Over Ego
330+ fathers surveyed before writing a word of copy. Studies read before picking doses. When the evidence says we're wrong, we change.
Simplicity as a Feature
Four capsules. Two moments in your day. The best routine is the one you actually stick to.
Build in Public
We share the decisions, trade-offs, and mistakes. Supplement companies that operate in silence usually have something to hide.
Long Game, Not Launch Hype
We're not here for a viral moment. We're building something fathers trust with their health for years.
More energy. More patience.
More presence.
